More then halfway done!

I seem to like showing you 4 layouts at once.   Here is my layout #5

yo-ho-

Jenn was busy with her whip and made me do #6.  I had to scraplift Jenn, but flip it and rotate 45 degrees.

I-don't-want-to

#7  was a fun challenge.  We were given a mini kit and had to use it.  I made sure not to look at the gallery till I posted mine.

Funny that the kit colors match some photo I have of Dani, but I so wanted to scrap this photo of my DH and his twin brothers.

Brothers

#8 was another scraplift.  (I wonder why so soon after the last one).  We had to include a star and the word dream.

08-year-of-dreams

All layouts are linked to NDISB for credits.

I can't wait to see what #9 is.

Over halfway done!

Oh my, can you believe that we're almost halfway done with the race? Have you been remembering to pick up your prizes? I need to do that! Here is my layout for challenge number 8. It is a lift of joshi_82's layout. The original is in my credits here:

I really enjoyed this challenge and thanks to Jenn- now have some photo editing software to use. Thanks sweetie!

Challenge 5

Here is my LO for challenge number 5! I didn't know where I was headed but then got some inspiration after I turned off the computer last night. Here is what I came up with.

Vicki took pity on me and my 3 sick kids and took challenge 6 off of my hands! I can't wait to see what she comes up with.

Ok, I'll join in. Here are my LO's for week 2 (clicking LOs will take you to read credits and text):
First off, #3 was checked off at NDISB just a couple of hours before the gallery died where my original LO was. Phew! Talk about a close call. Anyway, because that gallery's down, I don't have the original to show you. But here's my redo...#4 challenge was basically "artsy and uplifting from the soul"...

Week 2 is over for me!

While cracking my whip at Lisa, still had to find time to actually get my pages done as well. Challenge 3 was fun once I figured out which page I was going to use. The rules stipulated that the layout you rescrapped had to be the first layout uploaded in any of your galleries, so not necessarily the oldest one you had. The first page I had at DST was one that I had already rescrapped, and I am not sure how I would have done the page a 3rd time (it just wasn't that great a picture to start with). My first page at NDISB was my "A is for Alligator" page and I just couldn't see the point of rescrapping that. I looked at my TDC gallery and it had an entire song lyric on the page and I loved how it looked. The one at PGD the journaling would have made no sense if you saw the full picture to the extracted image on the page (one of the rules was to keep the wording exactly as it had been on the original page so changing the journalling was not an option). I finally went to my DF gallery (which is my smallest gallery) and I hit pay dirt. I loved the way the page looked, but it wouldn't be to hard to rescrap using newer techniques. Here is my original page...

Challenge 4 has been my hardest challenge yet. The rules were not all that hard, be artsy and uplifting. Artsy I could do, uplifting not so much. I had to ask the ladies at TS for some help with their favorite uplifting quotes and although I did not end up using anything while I was browsing some of the quote sites, I found one that I could work with. It took a lot out of me to be uplifting but I think I managed okay.

There you have my week two. Now I have to wait a couple more days for the next challenge.

The race is on!!!

I can't believe we are 4 challenges into the fourth season of the race. I have having a blast racing even when Jenn tries to whip me into shape.

Challenge #1 was from Hummie. It was a great challenge to tear a photo into 3 pieces and to include journaling

Challenge #2 was a team effort. Jenn has already posted our Waiting for Mickey layout.

Challenge #3 was a fun challenge from Gotta Pixel. We had to redo the first layout we posted in an online gallery. I didn't really start posting in galleries till I was scrapping for a while. Most of my first pages were posted in an online album at TS which is no longer there.

Notice a theme. LOL Three layouts that has something to do with Walt Disney World. But I could not keep up the theme for the 4th layout. It was an The Art and Soul Challenge!.

Here is my layout. Click it for credits and to read the journaling.

one-door-opens

I wonder which site will host the fifth challenge and what they will throw at us. Hopefully I'm up for it. Wonder if I should try and go back to the Mickey theme? Guess the challenge will decide that for me.

Now that was fun!

Assuming the judges don't change their mind another 16 times between now and Sunday, Lisa and I are done number 2. It works great when both the partners long for the same vacation destination when we start getting cooped up. Lisa just gets there a little more often than I do. I thought this challenge wasn't to bad until they started asking and answering questions. My loose interpretations of the rules were off, so I am glad we got the answers we needed quick. Here is what we came up with.

Challenge 1 is in the bag!

My partner has gone MIA this morning, but Jackie stepped in to tell me my page looked good. I don't know what it is, but I just don't feel like my page is complete without some one else's eyes having viewed it. I sure hope my partner shows up soon. I miss chatting with her. Any who, here is my first challenge page.

RACE TIME!

In less than 12 hours we will be hunting for our first challenge! I am getting so excited to see what they have in store for us for the next 6 weeks. I hope to start seeing some challenge pages showing up here soon.
